On Writing
In this section I'd like to share with you a glimpse into who I am as a writer.
How I Write
In order to fully describe my writing process, I decided to make a comic book. The following is a fun way to explain to my students and my peers what the writing process is like for me: for better or for worse.
Though this isn't necessarily a flattering portrait, I think it's important to speak honestly about our own writing process with students because it can give them insights into their own writing and help the class as a whole to reflect on what it means to be a "writer".
I hope to use these comics as a way into a discussion about writing itself with my future students and get them to reflect on their own process, with all its strengths and weaknesses.

The Year 2022
This piece of writing (The 2022 Me) is a personal narrative in which I imagine myself in ten years. I've included this in my portfolio not only because I think it's a strong piece of writing, but more importantly because it shows who I want to become.
I want to be a passionate writer, who is committed to and connects with his students in a way that inspires them to greatness.
Also, who doesn't love a little fun with futuristic gadgets? If I had a coffee machine I could talk to, I know I'd drink even more coffee than I already do.
